How many of you hit the share button, when you see interesting content on social media? Surely we all share content between groups in Whatsapp. And if you think about it, most of this content is in the Video form. Enacted dramas, speeches, videographics, songs or movies are all videos that we share everyday.
Video content used to be frowned upon since they consume more data but the advent of Jio changed all of that. India has the cheapest internet data in the world ($0.26 or Rs 18 per GB) and video content has become the preferred communication mode online.
If your brand is not taking advantage of this trend, then you are losing out. Video creation for social media consumption is not too difficult and there are tools out there that make it simple and impactful.
Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg said this in 2017 – “I see video as a megatrend”. And boy, is he right! Today, 80% of all internet traffic is due to video content and this trend is here to stay. Consumption of content and conversion of audience into paying consumers have both been very rewarding to video creators.
